Clad Stainless

Every time I cook at home, is our All-Clad we use almost all the time. All cookware stainless steel, with coating is not cheap, but definitely worth it because these things are durable and will probably last forever.

Although the All-Clad LTD Saucier is supposed to be used to make sauces, is used primarily for frying or sautéing. I do not think anything has got stuck on the inner surface. Always stays clean and bright. The handle stays cool no matter how hot the food arrives.

We also have the sauce to the skillet. We know it's for sauces and I'm sure we've used it for that, but we use it primarily for cooking rice. A Sometimes we forget to turn off the stove and burn rice. But the inside of the pot has never charred. Cleaning was never a problem.

The stainless steel layer does not react with food so as not to get a flavor. The inner layer is aluminum that say it is a good conductor of heat so no hot spots. And the exterior is elegant zero black anodized and stain resistant. The rivets that attach the handle to the pan seems to really hold it in place. Never felt as loose.

Our two pans come with stainless steel doors. These caps are really strong and in shape or helping to keep the moisture in. You probably will last as long as the molds themselves. We have other pots and pans around the kitchen, but all-CLADS are definitely higher quality and more professional.

All-Clad is actually better than Calphalon tri-layer steel?

Looking for a great set of pots, and have narrowed the field to two: All-Clad stainless and Calphalon Tri layers of stainless steel. The most obvious difference is the price, but does anyone have experience with these brands? Which is better and why? Thanks in advance for your advice!

I have pieces of both lines, and I love them both. I like the handles and lids in the Calphalon better now, though. In terms of capacity cooking, has only the slightest difference in how fast the heat of the pans. The All Clad is heated a few seconds faster, so be aluminum a little more in its core. Honestly, no, those few seconds to heat really justify the $ $ $. Both sets are very thick, 18/10, warrantee life, and are fully lined construction. Both great cook. You will be ecstatic with either ....
