I was not going to cook minute rice is cooked. Rice cookers like this are really meant to cook Asian rice (medium grain rice - the sticky kind). I tried cook other things in my kitchen rice as brown rice, Rice-a-Roni and regular long-grain rice. Just be sure to add a little water to the pot. It is a process of trial and error.
