Enamel Cast

On the day of a recent drop in cold he was craving for beef stew, and the process of making me re-learn the old cast iron stove Dutch concluded years ago by my mother in an old warehouse, which I had not realized and allows the accumulation of dust in the basement.

While scrubbing with steel wool, I remembered the reason the whole thing was banished to the basement in the first place. ItÂ's very hard to clean, and like all tools cast iron cooking, you need proper seasoning before you can use. It canÂ't put in the dishwasher, because iron rusts, and should always be covered with a layer of fat to maintain properly seasoned. Cast iron enthusiasts regularly debate the merits of shortening versus vegetable oils as the perfect condiment. In fact, the process of properly seasoning cast iron cookware is an art in itself. Perhaps the achievement of perfection, cast iron pans are a seasoned rewarding experience but who has time?

You may wonder why anyone would go through all that. Cast iron has excellent properties heat retention make it very energy efficient. You can reach perfect cooking temperatures in the middle and low temperature settings, reducing the risk to burn or dry out the food. It's perfect for long slow cooking of our favorite comfort foods. When you remove the pot or cast iron skillet from the heat source, canned heat over a long period of time, so the food will remain hot longer than food prepared in pots made of other materials. The heavy, metal thick resists warping and lasts forever. These properties are why so many people, undaunted by the washing of hands and the need to maintain properly seasoned, I swear by cookware cast iron.

Fortunately, there is another type of cookware, cast iron cook that gives all the benefits of iron cooking cast without the drawbacks. Can be cast iron enamel, a process that seals the iron in the layers of vitrified enamel. This process has many advantages. Eliminates the need to maintain appropriately experienced iron. The smooth finish of enamel crystal is much easier to clean, and cookware enameled cast iron can be placed in the dishwasher. The smooth finish also allows you to safely use this type of cookware for all types of heat sources such as cook tops ceramic and induction. The enamel coating allows cooking with tomatoes and other acidic ingredients that typically react unfavorably with cast iron. And the enamel can be produced in any number colors, such as fire engine red or lemon yellow, making it a perfect choice for the design conscious cooking today. It is so attractive that his stew or roast cooked in a cast iron Dutch oven enamel can go right from oven to table.

I ended up making my beef stew in my Dutch oven old and was in fact one of the tastiest dishes I've done. It simmered gently in the oven for hours and was very hot when placed on the table. But, Unfortunately, the cleaning process that was confirmed back to the basement. Now I have a set of attractive enameled cookware hanging on my kitchen shelf pot (with Dutch oven agreement), and my old smelter in Dutch is again the need of a good powder.
