With all the bad publicity that Teflon and aluminum cookware has received, many of us are looking for healthy cookware non-toxic. It has no sense to buy healthy food as a whole and then cooked in the pots and pans toxic.
Despite cookware stainless steel has been considered as a safe alternative, has one drawback. Cooking utensils made of stainless steel with a combination of stainless steel, chrome and nickel. None of these are harmful in small doses, but many people are allergic to nickel. If you are allergic to nickel should not use cookware with stainless steel.
Another concern that many people are unaware that some of the enamels used in crock pots have small amounts of lead. The recommendation is to use crock pots terra cotta without lead glaze.
The more toxic cookware is healthy and is not anodized aluminum cookware. The process used in the manufacture of hard anodized aluminum seals the aluminum layer is extremely hard not reactive and prevents any aluminum from leaching into the food it is cooked.

This is similar to the non-stick, but a little better. It's really just a thicker layer of which no stick product. Google anodized hard if you're really interested in learning more about it. As far as cooking goes. For home use, non-stick Teflon pans are perfect, just be sure to avoid fine pots as these foods will burn more easily. If you're willing to spend the money, copper plated steel If the steal idea for the kitchen of the professional kitchen. Copper conducts heat quickly and evenly. Stainless steel, if used properly, produces the desired caramelize and scorching searched for certain foods. Cast iron is also an excellent choice, but can be extremely expensive and heavy. I would avoid buying any type of utensils of any chain stores like Walmart / Target, etc. Go to a proper kitchen store and ask about nonstick pans. You may find that they have a great selection and great variety to meet their needs.
